June 17-18, 2023 – Coming from the Mio Gear: Play Your Tough campaign launch in Manila, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) set the playground in Cebu to create more avenues for those who want to prove their toughness. The concept behind ‘Play your Tough’ follows the passion of anyone who rides their way out from different struggles in life, whether in sports, urban, or outdoor lifestyle. YMPH created this campaign for everyone to embody grit, resilience, and tough attitude with their own Mio Gear motorcycle.
#PlayYourTough: What’s in the Mio Gear Playground? Yamaha built the playground in the center of SM City Cebu Northwing. Hosted by Rizza Diaz and the local Cebuana Host, Christine Fernandez, the Mio Gear Playground takes part in mall goers’ weekend. Within the playground, YMPH exudes street style-themed with the display of the newest Mio Gear color variant, a Spartan obstacle course, a basketball court, and an esports battle-ready setup.
Complemented by the latest product upgrades, the playground features 4 different color variants of the Mio Gear; Worn Gray and Matte Gray for the standard version, Matte Black, and Matte Brown for the S version. These hues emit the simplicity of being tough on your own combined with the motorcycle’s multifunctional features, scratch protection advantage, and agile handling.
Highlighting the ‘Play your Tough’ spirit, YMPH invited icons to have a special exhibition game from each lifestyle. In basketball, the former Gilas Pilipinas players; Kevin Alas, Paul Lee, and Jayson Castro together with Coach Mavs and his TEAM PHENO players have their spotlight in different basketball drills and shootout challenges. Spartan Philippines Team was represented by United VisMin OCR Community and had a tournament amongst their athletes. In the esports community, local (LV Dragons) and national (Crimson Esports) Mobile Legends players battle their way out to victory. Aside from the exhibition games, the entire Mio Gear Playground CEBU is open to everyone who wants to show off their toughness and take on the challenges away from their daily metro routine.
YMPH dedicated its newest campaign to be within the reach of every passionate rider in the Philippines – those who are eager to play tough and willing to stay above the challenges. Now that the Cebuanos have already had their own Mio Gear Playground experience in Visayas, there will be more #PlayYourTough moments coming soon in Mindanao.
